Student Responsibilities – You are responsible for yourself and your work!
Be on time for class. Even a second late, counts as a tardy.
Be prepared for class. We have a class set of textbooks, so keep your book at home to study.
Pencils, pens, paper, and your notebook are needed. Colored pencils for maps are suggested.
Class Rules – All SHS and District rules apply. The expectation is that students be attentive and courteous
to me and to each other.
Cell phones must be turned off and put away before entering the classroom.
Any phone seen or heard during class will be taken up and turned in to the Grade Level Principal
Important Assignment Information
Assignments are due at the beginning of the period. You must have more than half of the
assignment done to receive a partial grade.
"BEAT THE CLOCK" work at the beginning of a period will be graded accordingly. Copying another
student's assignment is cheating.
Cheating on homework, tests, or quizzes will result in a grade of zero, a discipline report to the principal,
and a discussion with parents,
and possible removal from Pre-AP Geography.
Late Daily work 1st calendar day late is minus 20 points, 2nd is a zero. Projects will be accepted
one class day late with a penalty.
If you were in class when an assignment was posted on the front board, but absent on the off
day between class days, I still expect the assignment
to be ready. Long term absences will dealt with on an individual basis.
Tests: Tests will be done on Scantrons, so a #2 pencil will be required to take the test.
It is the student’s responsibility (not the teacher’s)
to bring a #2 pencil to class to take the test.
Make-up Tests will be given in Room 321 on Wednesday afternoons from 3:05-4:05. Please
see me if other afternoon arrangements
need to be made. The test will be different from the one taken in class.
Retest Policy will follow the Stratford policy for retesting
Tutorials are held in Room 337 – Monday and Wednesday before school
