Hello Spartans,

As we complete another week, there have been some excellent accomplishments occur recently.  Last night, we had our SHS curriculum night.  This evening of highlighting programs and possibilities, both at the district and campus level was a huge success.  Many hours of planning and prep work go on behind the scenes and a large group of SHS staff pitched in to make the night a success.  Assistant Principal Margret Norton and Post Secondary Counselor Michael Strait were two of the main factors for the success of the evening.  We had representatives from each of our core areas, as well as electives and special programs here at SHS, as well as representatives from the Guthrie Center.  We also had a series of focus groups with speakers ranging in topics from PreAP and AP courses, to HCC and Dual Credit Courses.  The feedback I received thoughout the night was that the parents really appreciated the wealth of information available and they were very glad that SHS had made the effort to put this evening on.  It was a total team effort and I hope that if you attended, you now have a clearer picture of the wide range of possibilities open to each of your students.  Please click on Read More to view the rest of my message.
