Every two years the UIL looks at the enrollment of all the high schools in the State of Texas and determines what level classification they are placed in and what competitive district they will be a part of.  Two years ago, the SHS enrollment fell below the line at which 5 A schools competed.  Later this month the UIL will look at our numbers, and make a determination that will then be released in February.  We would like to get community feedback regarding this issue, so we are hosting a community forum on Monday, October 19, 2009 in the SHS auditorium.  The Stratford Athletic Booster Club meets on Monday nights and we will begin our forum immediately after the booster club meeting - this should be at 6:45 pm.  In attendance will be L. P. Jones, SBISD Athletic Director, Eliot Allen, Stratford's Athletic Director and myself.  We will share enrollment information as well as the paperwork process involved by the member schools.  We are encouraging anyone with questions, or if you just want to be informed on how the process works, please come to our forum next Monday.
