 It's November!

It's November!

Our fall extra-curricular activities have experienced a large amount of success.  Our girls cross country teams - both JV and Varsity won district championships.  Our football team recently defeated Elsik and with one game to go, they are positioning themselves for the playoffs.  Our Lady Spartan volleyball team ended the regular season tied with Memorial for first place in the district.  This past Saturday, they met at MHS for a playoff to determine who would be seeded number one from our district in the playoffs.  I am happy to report that our young ladies came out victorious and will represent 18 AAAAA as the district champions.  They now play Seven Lakes High School at 6:30 pm on Tuesday.  The match will be held at Katy High School.  Our marching band recently had their UIL competition and came away with straight ones and a sweepstakes trophy.  I know they were thrilled to see all their hard work pay off in another first division rating.  Our Stratford Playhouse is in the middle of their first show - "The Wedding Singer," and it is drawing rave reviews.  Our students are active, involved and very successful.  The most important place that they are being successful is in the classroom.  I had previously stated that we had a great group of new teachers that joined our already strong staff.  We have not been disappointed with the job they have done in the classroom and our students are being very successful in their academic areas.  Recently, we were proud to recognize the 3 National Merit Semi-Finalists as well as our 6 Hispanic Scholars.  We also have a great group of 20 Commended Students, that were recognized by the College Board.  Our students are working hard in many areas to be successful and we are extremely proud of all of them.

It's All About Attitude,
